Job Description/ Responsibilities-
• Core automation/coding experience is must as the role is 100% hands on automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in API BDD Automation Framework (using Rest Assured, Java, Cucumber, Postman, Ready API etc.)
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring boot.
• Strong hands-on experience in UI BDD Automation Framework using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber & TestNG.
• Good hands-on of SQL and able to write DB queries, exposure to Agile, JIRA & XRay.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong coding skills/ ability to write code hands-on during client interview.
• Automation Framework Development- Design and develop scalable automation frameworks using tools like Cucumber (BDD) and Rest Assured and Spring Boot.
• Implement test automation for APIs, integrating it into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.
• Test Planning & Strategy- Define comprehensive test strategies aligned with project goals.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and develop effective test plans.
• Test Automation Execution- Write reusable and maintainable test scripts for API, UI, and integration testing.
• Execute automated test cases, monitor results, and debug failures.
• Continuous Integration & Deployment- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Ensure automated tests are run for every build or release cycle.
• Defect Tracking and Reporting- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA. Provide detailed analysis and reports of test execution and defects.
• Code and Process Review- Review code for automation scripts to maintain quality and adherence to standards.
Suggest process improvements for continuous testing efficiency.
• Mentorship and Leadership- Guide junior QA engineers in automation practices and tools. Advocate for automation best practices within the team.
• Tools Management- Manage and optimize the use of tools like Rest Assured (for API testing), Cucumber (for BDD testing), and Jenkins (for CI/CD automation). Stay updated with emerging trends and tools in automation testing.
• Documentation- Create and maintain documentation for automation frameworks, test cases using JIRA TEST (Xray), Test Plans (using JIRA TEST (Xray), and procedures
