Data Migration Architect – Teradata to Snowflake Migration
Location: Remote
Client Domain: Telecom
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the migration process from Teradata to Snowflake, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
Utilize Teradata experience and Snowflake /Databricks experience to efficiently execute the migration project.
Demonstrate expertise in PL/SQL, Unix, and Python for effective data manipulation and scripting tasks.
Possess excellent communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Teradata, showcasing a clear understanding of its architecture and programming optimization techniques.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, specializing in data warehousing concepts.
Mandatory 1 year of experience in Teradata to Snowflake migration.
Proficient in PL/SQL, with strong scripting skills, preferably in Python.
Familiarity with Hadoop and a strong enthusiasm to learn new technologies.
Ability to serve as a technical lead, providing detailed design, standards, and guidelines, while also engaging in hands-on prototyping.
Develop and implement effective unit testing and integration test strategies.
Secondary skills include the ability to eloquently interact with clients, understand architectural requirements, and translate them into a comprehensive System Framework Design Plan.
Proven experience in leading small to medium-sized projects.
Efficiently analyze data, expand knowledge of data concepts, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Manage priorities effectively, organize project deliveries, and handle tasks in an agile and demanding environment.
Collaborate in a multi-vendor environment across cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
