📍 Location: 100% Remote OR Plano, TX (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

💼 Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and help modernize critical data science models from legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions. You will transform legacy code into high-quality, maintainable Python code and work with a variety of technologies including AWS SageMaker, Snowflake, and Python.

A key part of this role is ensuring that code meets industry standards while implementing comprehensive testing strategies. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and DevOps teams to help design, build, and maintain machine learning pipelines and model APIs.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Transform legacy SAS code into robust, maintainable Python code, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for ML models.
Build and deploy machine learning models and pipelines in cloud environments (AWS, Snowflake).
Work with CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud infrastructure to deploy new projects and retrain models.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (DevOps, InfoSec, Data Science, and Machine Learning Engineers) to ensure successful deployment and release of models.

✅ Required Skills:
4-5 years of experience in software development and machine learning.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL development.
Experience with AWS technologies (particularly AWS SageMaker) and Snowflake.
Proven experience in transforming SAS legacy code into modern Python code.
Familiarity with machine learning model deployment in cloud environments.
A graduate degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience (or expected completion within three months).

🌟 Desired Skills:
Active AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
Experience with SAS (statistical analysis programming language).
Experience working with API frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
Exposure to working with AWS SageMaker for model deployment and retraining.
