Job Overview:
VDOT-AMD is actively seeking a seasoned .NET Core Programmer Analyst with strong communication skills and over 10 years of experience in .NET web application development. This hybrid role requires candidates to be local to Richmond, VA, as occasional onsite work will be necessary.
The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in the entire .NET Core application lifecycle, including backend services, frontend development, and database integration. You’ll be joining a dynamic team focused on building secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality .NET Core web applications and APIs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
- Ensure best practices in coding, security, and performance optimization.
- Work with front-end technologies including Blazor, JavaScript (React, Angular), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Maintain and update documentation, including technical specifications and user manuals.
- Participate in Agile development cycles and team ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning).
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with .NET and C# web development.
- Strong proficiency with .NET Core, Web API, and middleware components.
- Front-end experience with Blazor, React, Angular, MudBlazor, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Deep understanding of web application security and modern design patterns.
- Solid experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and SQL Server.
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) for automated builds and version control.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Proven ability in process automation and systems troubleshooting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between technical and business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with government or public sector agencies.
- Prior involvement in large-scale enterprise application modernization projects.
