Qualifications

Four plus years of real-time data stream development in an AWS environment.
Required

Scala/Spark job development inside AWS Data Cloud services (i.e., Kinesis, S3, Lambda, etc.).
Databricks and Kafka.
GitHub and CI/CD tools.
 

This is a contract position with Comcast working on their Xfinity X1 Streaming platform

Job Description

Seeking a Software Engineer for our DX Organization who builds out real time data pipelines in AWS & deliver data to syndication partners. Content includes video, broadband, games, and all syndicated content that goes through our data pipelines. This developer will join a Scrum team that works with Product and Technical teams to gather requirements and build, deploy, and support the pipelines in production.

Day to day responsibilities

•             Working with our Scrum team in 2-week sprints to build out data pipelines.

•             Building Spark jobs in Scala read from Kinesis, Kafka, Dynamo, or other source.

•             Testing and validating functionality of jobs.

•             Collaborating with our DevOps group to deploy code in an automated fashion.

•             Participate in our on-call rotation including core business hours and one weekend per month.
