Role: SQL Server Database Administrator
Location: Bradenton, FL
Job Description;

This position will be part of the Database Support Team, which is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of mission critical SQL Server enterprise systems.
The contractor will work closely with members of this team and other technical teams, project managers, and internal customers.
They will be responsible for the administration and support of SQL Server databases in the production, test and development environments with minimal instruction or assistance.
They will be involved in tasks such as database design, implementation, database administration and troubleshooting, database upgrades and patching, security hardening and vulnerability analysis, performance tuning, database user administration, assisting SQL developers, and high availability using SQL Server FCI clustering,.
This position is also responsible for developing database procedural documentation and diagrams.

Required Qualifications:
 Minimum 5 years direct experience supporting SQL Server databases (versions 2008R2, 2012, 2016, and 2019) in enterprise environments supporting mission critical systems. This involves experience with database design, implementation, high availability, networking, securing, patching, upgrading, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting SQL Server databases.
Minimum 3 years direct experience with backup and recovery of SQL Server databases using enterprise backup tools.
Minimum 3 years direct experience with SQL Server FCI cluster High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server, including supporting/implementing HA FCI clusters, patching and troubleshooting SQL Server FCI cluster errors.
Minimum 3 years direct experience in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
High aptitude for interpreting and using technical documentation, and authoring or updating technical documents and procedures using Word, Excel, Visio, and Wiki.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical staff and managers.
Self-starter, with strong organizational and task management skills.

Desired Qualifications:
 Experience with CommVault Enterprise Backup
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services & SQL Server Reporting Services
Experience with Redgate SQL monitoring
Experience supporting Oracle versions 12c and 19c
Experience with helping to manage technical projects: identifying tasks and milestones, accurately estimating work effort, and engaging with project managers.
ITIL and ITSM knowledge and certifications desired but not required.
