Job Description:

This position will provide technical development expertise supporting Fresenius SAP integration environment and EDI platforms. By using the current and pre-identified tools to keep the corporate data flowing between external and internal applications, the Sr. SAP Integration Consultant will work on a wide range of projects from small individual to multitier corporate initiatives. The Sr. SAP Integration Consultant will develop technical objects according to specifications, work with abstract concepts and do technical analysis that impacts the controls of system operations. Additionally, the Sr. SAP Integration Consultant partners with infrastructure and architectural teams to ensure that the application meets company service level standards and roadmap requirements. This ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between the business, I.T. team, and partners to analyze EDI requirements, manage day to day processing of EDI throughout the group, and develop documentation to support the processes. This position will report directly to the manager of SAP Technical team.


 Primary Responsibilities:
 • Assist with the project development activities related to integration to assure that the delivered system is designed for sustainability and long-term support with primary focus on post-implementation support.
 • Manage small to mid-scale projects and tasks including defining deliverables and scope for new or existing applications and interfaces including SAP to SAP systems and SAP to non-SAP systems.
 • Analyze and provide EDI requirements between trading partners and Fresenius ERP systems.
 • Configure and manage new EDI trading partners and maps serving as a key liaison between Fresenius business users, trading partners and technology teams.
 • Functional Analysis: Lead planning, gathering and documentation of functional requirements and ROI opportunities for complex business opportunities. Proactively research business process problems and seek root cause. Collaborate with business, IT technical resources and suppliers to evaluate integrated solutions. Leverage business process knowledge to estimate work efforts.
 • Functional Design: Design, review and present functional solutions for complex business opportunities that enable process change, continuous improvement and competitive advantage. Drive design of optimized solutions aimed at achieving maximum ROI.
 • Technical Analysis: Lead planning, gathering and documentation of technical requirements through researching and analyzing problems, planning and modeling possible solutions and recommending software. Identify incident trends and build proactive plans to eliminate. Leverage technical knowledge to estimate work efforts.
 • Technical Design: Design, review and present technical solutions for complex systems with multiple integration points, multiple functions and/ or unique logic requirements that are effective, efficient, maintainable and that provide reliability and scalability.
 • Construct / Implement: Plan, drive and deliver solutions that are contemporary and in accordance with company guidelines. Deliver on time and on budget. Develop standards and direct technical maintenance of applications according to architectural guidelines. Design functional unit, scenario and integration test plans and scenarios. Execute quality reviews. Assigned to multiple Projects/Initiatives at a time. Assists with project planning. Leads a single Project/Initiative at a time.
 • Testing / Deployment: Perform Unit/Integration/Regression testing custom objects for simple to complex interfaces to ensure functionality as per specifications for seamless data exchange and interoperability. Execute test plans to successfully integrate EDI, SAP to SAP systems and SAP to non-SAP systems integrations. Document test cases as per project guidelines to deploy solution.
 • Incident / Problem Management: Lead and assist others in conducting effective investigation / diagnosis of incidents and root cause analysis of problems. Develop, implement and document solutions in a timely manner and validate with users that service has been restored.
 • Change Control: Lead and assist others in conducting proper urgency, impact and risk assessment of change requests. Plan, schedule, implement and document changes in accordance with proposed guidelines.
 • Monitor and maintain integration landscapes, ensuring smooth data flow and providing support for system integrations and process orchestration. Identify and resolve integration issues, system errors and performance bottlenecks.
 • Troubleshoot and complete the necessary analysis to resolve production support issues.
 • Create development estimates and perform code reviews to validate adherence to defined standards.
 • Provide project status and contributions during team meetings.
 • Analyze program performance and perform necessary tuning to ensure efficient utilization of system resources.
 • Follows best practices and coding standards to ensure clarity and maintainability of custom programs.
 • Participates in code reviews to ensure best practices and standards are being followed.
 • Consistently deliver high-quality and timely services to end-users.

 Qualifications and Requirements:
 • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
 • 10+ years of experience as SAP technical services.
 • Proven experience of SAP technologies, SAP ECC 6.0, SAP PI/PO is must. Knowledge/Experience on S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.
 • Strong expertise in ABAP programming, SAP PI/PO Integration tools. Excellent understanding of enterprise integration patterns, service-oriented architecture (SOA)
 • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations.
 • Exceptional leadership, teamwork, self-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders towards project success.
 • Experience in programming languages such as ABAP and XML, Java & XSLT for mapping of data in Integrations.
 • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload.
 • Proven record of successfully implementing the following EDI Transaction sets 214, 940, 945, 867, 852, 845, 849, 844, 820, 823, 850, 855, 856, 810.
 • Demonstrate experience of AS2, SFTP, FTPs, AS2, REST API, Proxy, IDOC JDBC, Mail & SOAP for B2B and A2A integrations.
 • Experience on IDOC/ALE/EDI and handling Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) – X12 or EDIFACT formats.
 • Experience in Solman, CHARM and change management for controlled SAP ERP system. Including service management tools Service now & JIRA.

 Skills & Tools:
 • SAP ABAP- Reports: ALV, Standard and Interactive. Conversions: BDC, LSMW, and Direct Input. Forms: SMARTFORM, SAP Script & Adobe forms. Interfaces: ALE/IDOC, EDI, RFC & BAPI. User Exits, Customer Functions, BADI, Enhancement Framework, DDIC Objects, Dialog programming.
 • Tools – Stylus studio, NWDS, Postman, WinSCP, SoapUI.
