Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Developer with a strong background in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have 10-12+ years of Python development experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong grasp of software engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable and secure backend applications using Python.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, DevOps, and QA teams.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Perform unit testing and ensure software quality and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices in software development.
Optimize application performance and scalability.
Work with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB for efficient data handling.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
Required Skills & Experience:
11-12+ years of professional Python development experience.
Proficiency in Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Strong experience with RESTful API development and integration.
Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git).
Solid understanding of software design patterns and principles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia, PA and attend face-to-face interviews.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or Angular) is a plus.
Experience in data processing or analytics-based applications.
