Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Be part of a global team which provides follow the sun support from Australia, Europe, and North America of some of the most critical systems.
Provide intermediate level technical support for our Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments and other adjacent systems via tickets, changes requests, service requests, etc.
Use live monitoring software and alerting systems to help quickly respond & react to any issues across both nonproduction & production environments.
Identify, resolve, or escalate hardware or software issues using your Linux-fu, while working closely and collaboratively with our internal IT clients that are reliant on these environments.
Help ensure we stay running smoothly for years to come by contributing to a comprehensive technical knowledge base of software and infrastructure platforms.
Aid with system administration tasks by actively managing patching, routine maintenance, and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks.
Work with vendors & other partners to coordinate and oversee parts replacements, required system downtimes, etc. Qualifications we’re looking for:
Minimum of three years of work experience in Linux systems administration. Professional certifications (e.g. RHCSA) or a university degree are a plus, but not strictly required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with a positive client service demeanour.
Knowledge of three of more of the following platforms: RedHat Linux 7/8, VMware ESXi , Dell VxRail, Cisco UCS, Apache web server, IBM Message Queue, Oracle ExaData.
Strong conceptual thinking skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to quickly learn & adapt to changing business conditions.
Support and trouble- solving all technical issues with Red Hat Enterprise Linux server, VMware Esxi and Apache web server
 
Skills & Experience:
Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required
Work with   monitoring tools for server health and alerting on both non-production and production environments.
Work with third party vendors hardware parts replacements
Work on routine server maintenance and server patching using patching software tools
Work on changes, service requests and incidents as per priority/schedule time window.

Takes corrective actions based on the customer satisfaction surveys.
Handle customer interaction for day-to-day and planned activities
Understand the business requirements and operational specifications of the client module
Participate in technology roadmap planning and deployment
Identify the process gaps and provide alternatives to the project team.
Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems. 
Ensure the estate is up to date in terms of hardware end of life or end of support.
Document solution and update in Knowledgebase. Co-coordinate with third party vendors for hardware issues and fixes.
Takes corrective actions based on the customer satisfaction surveys.
Handle customer interaction for day-to-day and planned activities
Co-ordinate and collate status/issues from all locations / geographies and provide automation solutions for common issues.
