Position: Senior Data Engineer
📍 Minneapolis, MN (Local Only – Hybrid: Mon & Thurs + Tues or Wed)
💼 6-Month Contract (Likely to Extend to 12+ Months)

Overview:
We are hiring two Senior Data Engineers to support enterprise-level data integration efforts within a highly focused and agile development team. This role is only open to local candidates who can interview in person and work a hybrid schedule in the Minneapolis area.
Candidates must have at least 10+ years of experience in full lifecycle software development and 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms and API integration. We are only considering engineers who are comfortable leading complex technical work with limited oversight.
Required On-Site Schedule:
In-office presence required on Mondays, Thursdays, and either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Technical Skill Priorities (in order of importance):
✅ Structured data manipulation and transformation, preferably using Azure Data Factory or Fabric Pipelines
✅ 5+ years with Microsoft Azure (PaaS/SaaS), recent Microsoft Fabric experience highly desired
✅ Strong experience with Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Warehouse
✅ 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing APIs using REST/JSON or SOAP
✅ Experience implementing solutions in a Medallion Data architecture
✅ Proficiency with tools such as Postman or ReadyAPI for testing REST/SOAP APIs
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and enhance structured data pipelines in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define and implement scalable integration solutions
- Build and maintain REST/JSON and SOAP APIs for robust data connectivity
- Ensure high data quality and transformation accuracy within a Medallion architecture
- Document systems for maintenance and cross-functional clarity
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to efficient, transparent delivery cycles
