Engineer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in various projects as assigned by team lead /supervisor
- Set-up, adjust, and operate various types of lab equipment and instruments
- Perform experiments for development research projects under guidance and supervision of immediate lead/ supervisor
- Author Design Verification Protocols and Records
- Support engineering testing and formal design verification testing
- Design of Experiments for the stated objective:
- Brainstorm
- Design and develop experiments
- Conduct experiments on the test samples and collect data
- Analyze data, interpret results and verify conformity to specifications
- Record test results on standardized forms and maintain good documentation practices
- Ensure adherence to policy and procedures related to applicable standards, specifications, EH&S, quality, and GMP guidelines
- Maintain order and cleanliness of laboratories and warehousing space, including inventories of developmental materials
- Exercise professional capability to properly apply company policies and procedures
- Refer to senior level staff for assistance with complex problems that may arise
- Escalate issues to supervisor/manager as necessary
- Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Maintaining a good attendance record is an essential function of the job
- Maintain general housekeeping of working area
- Other duties as assigned by the lead/supervisor
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2~3 years of experience in operating lab equipment like Zwick (or Instron), flow accuracy stations, environmental chambers (temperature and humidity), viscosity measurement, etc. or equivalent directly related work experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and be able to work on electronic lab notebooks with minimal training
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Problem solving aptitude: Support issue investigation and resolutions
- Test Methods: Define, develop, and validate test methods
- Evaluated on the following:
- Ability to Run Lab Equipment and Testing on Medical Devices
- Authoring and Execution of Test Method Validations
- Knowledge of Drug Combination Devices
- Ability to Design Experiments.
