Job Description:

Development experience with Embedded Software development
MUST COME FROM AUTOMOTIVE
Need to be able to have clear interfacing with customers & offshore
Proactive with saying what need to say. Provide mentorship when needed.
Doesn’t need to have previous lead experience.
Software development with MISRA C
Experience with ANSI C compilers, and hardware debuggers (Lauterbach, GHS, etc)
MS Office
Ability to root cause issues utilizing 8D, Kepnor-Tregoe and Fishbones
Ability to contribute to peer design reviews.
The Lead Software Engineer will design and develop relevant systems for vehicle access products.
Provide technical direction to offshore team as part of work activities assigned and be the point person for customer to get updates.
Support and mentor new engineers through training, reviews, and collaboration.
Work directly with customers and suppliers to develop and manage designs, requirements, specifications, etc.
Participate in Agile Scrum teams through sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, sprint reviews and daily standups.
Support engineering in new product development and managing lessons learned.
Write C Code to meet functional and technical specifications.
Perform peer reviews on all artifacts during the lifecycle of a project.
Code compliance to MISRA-C, CERTC and ADAC coding guidelines.
Create and maintain software architecture and detail designs.
Support Test Lab functional test requirements.
Support manufacturing regarding inline product testing methods, specifications, and equipment selection.
Investigate alternative suppliers of electronic content for non-directed-buy suppliers for future products.
Evaluate, assess, and troubleshoot electronics content contained in core product base.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Computer or Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science, or related field
Software design experience is preferred
5+ years of work experience, automotive experience is preferred
Ability to launch and lead software development with some supervision
Ability to work with Global Teams
