Short Description:

·         Seeking an experienced Java/JEE Developer to support the upgrade of VDSS applications to WebSphere 9 and Java 8, including removal of Internet Explorer 11 compatibility settings.

Job Responsibilities:

·         Analyze, plan, and execute the upgrade of legacy applications from WebSphere 8.5.5 to WebSphere 9 and Java 8.

·         Refactor code and configurations to remove dependencies on Internet Explorer 11.

·         Collaborate with other developers, QA, and business users to ensure smooth transitions.

·         Debug, test, and document system functionality.

·         Utilize tools such as Maven, GitHub, and Log4j2 throughout the development cycle.

·         Support deployment and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
