Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Pentaho Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) and a strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and business intelligence. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support business analytics and reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle).
Integrate data from various sources including databases, APIs, flat files, and cloud platforms.
Optimize and troubleshoot existing ETL processes for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and other developers to understand data requirements.
Implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation logic.
Maintain documentation for ETL processes and data flows.
Ensure data security and compliance with organizational standards.
 

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Pentaho Data Integration (PDI).
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) is a plus.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
