Job Title: Senior Java Developer (GCP) EXP
Allen, TX (Day One Onsite)
Contract
Key Responsibilities:
– Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement software solutions
– Write well-designed, efficient code and review, test, and debug team members’ code
– Design database architecture and ensure applications are secure and up-to-date
– Provide technical guidance to junior developers and participate in code reviews
– Ensure best practices are followed in software development process
– Manage project tasks and timelines, and communicate progress to stakeholders
Requirements and Skills:
– At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Java Developer or similar role
– In-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks like Spring MVC, JSF, and Hibernate
– Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum
– Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases like MySQL and MongoDB
– Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is
highly desirable
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent delegation and time management skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
Nice to Have:
– Experience with Open Source tools and Amazon Web Service (AWS)
– Knowledge of Web Services and RESTful services with Web API
– Experience working with large and disparate data sets
– Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Docker, Kubernetes
