Role: QA Lead
Location: Whippany NJ (Locals Only)
Duration: 12+ Months
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead – Automation to design, develop,
and implement a robust test automation framework from the ground up. The
ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java and Selenium, with a
proven ability to establish and optimize automation processes within a
microservices-based architecture. This role requires a strategic thinker
who can transform a patchy automation environment into a scalable,
efficient, and integrated testing ecosystem aligned with our CI/CD
pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of an end-to-end automation testing
framework from scratch.
• Define and enforce QA best practices, standards, and methodologies
across teams.
• Integrate automation testing within existing CI/CD pipelines and
microservices frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to
ensure seamless test coverage and quality delivery.
• Conduct end-to-end, integration, regression, and performance testing
using automated solutions.
• Continuously enhance automation coverage and improve testing
efficiency through tool evaluation and innovation.
• Mentor QA team members and drive quality initiatives across the
organization.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in QA automation, with at least 2 years in a
lead role.
• Strong programming experience in Java and hands-on expertise with
Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks (e.g.,
TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, RestAssured).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and related testing
strategies.
• Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
(Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Exposure to API testing, end-to-end testing, and performance testing
tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of test data management and mocking services for
microservices testing.
• Certification in automation tools or QA methodologies is a plus.
