IT Project Manager

Position Overview

  • Title: Project Manager – Security Operations
  • Location: Indiana

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Collaboration: Work with security operations team and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and requirements.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans with timelines, resources, and risk assessments.
  • Implementation: Execute security projects in alignment with statewide security strategy and regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships and ensure effective communication.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Status Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Risk Management: Address deviations from project plans promptly.

Expected Outcomes

  • Successful transition of the enterprise vulnerability assessment solution.
  • Roll out Tanium to all workstations and servers.
  • Implement Varonis across all state agencies.
  • Engage with the Documentation Working Group for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct weekly status meetings to ensure project milestones are on track.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for cybersecurity enhancements.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation.

Skills and Experience

  • Required:
    • 3+ years in IT project management, including scoping, stakeholder management, resource planning, and risk management.
    • High emotional intelligence.
    • Proven track record in managing complex security or IT operations projects.
    • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
    • Leadership skills to motivate cross-functional teams.
    • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly Desired:
    • Experience in government or public-sector environments.
    • PMP and CSM certifications.

Work Environment

  • Hours: 8 AM – 4:30 PM, hybrid work environment.
  • Physical Effort: Extended periods of sitting.
  • Conditions: Standard office environment.
