Job Description: SAP PP/MM Consultant
Bay Area, CA – Onsite Day 1
Responsibilities:
· Lead or participate in the implementation and configuration of SAP PP/MM modules according to business requirements.
· Analyze business processes related to production planning and materials management, identify areas for improvement, and propose SAP solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
· Customize SAP PP/MM functionalities to meet specific business needs, including master data setup, work center configuration, material master settings, and production scheduling.
· Ensure seamless integration between SAP PP and MM modules as well as other SAP modules such as SD (Sales and Distribution), FI (Finance), and WM (Warehouse Management).
· Extensive experience (typically 5-6 years or more) in SAP PP and MM modules with hands-on implementation and support experience.
· Proficiency in SAP PP/MM configuration, including master data setup, production scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), procurement processes, inventory management, and logistics execution.
· Strong understanding of SAP integration with other modules such as SD, FI, WM, and QM (Quality Management).
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business processes and propose effective SAP solutions.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Experience in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to lead SAP implementation projects or work as part of a project team.
· Develop test scenarios, conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP PP/MM implementations.
· Document business processes, system configurations, and technical specifications, and provide training to end-users and support teams.
· Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP PP/MM modules, troubleshoot issues, and implement bug fixes and enhancements.
· Stay updated with SAP best practices, new features, and industry trends, and proactively recommend improvements to optimize SAP PP/MM processes.
Education:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Certifications:
SAP certifications in PP and MM modules are preferred but not always required
