Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist (Big Data Engineer) 2 with a proven track record in data conversion, report building, and expertise in ETL processes and tools. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Snowflake, SAS Viya, and other business intelligence tools, as well as proficiency in SQL, Python, and R. The role involves working in an Agile/Scrum environment and requires strong knowledge of data warehousing and database management concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform data conversion and build reports using Snowflake and SAS Viya.
Execute data transformation processes utilizing ETL, SQL, Python, and R.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive data analytics and implement business intelligence tools.
Work in a Scrum/Agile development environment to ensure timely delivery of data-related projects.
Design and develop ETL processes using tools such as AWS Glue and Lambda.
Manage and optimize large-scale data warehouses and ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
Leverage SQL expertise for querying, manipulating, and extracting valuable insights from datasets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
4+ years of proven experience in data conversion and report building using Snowflake and SAS Viya.
4+ years of experience in ETL, SQL, Python, and R for data transformation processes.
4+ years of experience working with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
4+ years of experience working in a Scrum/Agile development environment.
Proficiency in ETL processes and tools such as AWS Glue and Lambda.
Strong knowledge of database management and data warehousing concepts.
Expertise in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to handle large datasets and perform advanced data analysis.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
