Role: Azure Database Administrator / Database Expert
Location: Remote
Hire Type: Contract.
Responsibilities:
* Design, deploy, and manage databases in Azure (Azure SQL, Managed Instance, Cosmos DB)
* Perform DBA tasks: monitoring, performance tuning, backups, patching
* Troubleshoot database issues and optimize queries/indexing
* Implement security, access controls, and compliance measures
* Support migrations to Azure and maintain high availability/DR solutions
* Collaborate with development teams on data needs
Requirements:
* 3–7+ years of database administration experience
* Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills
* Hands-on experience with Azure database services
* Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and HA/DR
Nice to Have:
* Azure certifications
* Experience with MySQL
* DevOps/IaC experience (Terraform)
