Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in Playwright to join our QA team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for web applications, ensuring high-quality releases and a seamless user experience. As a senior team member, you will also mentor junior testers and collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, execute, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites for functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Work closely with developers, QA analysts, and product teams to understand application requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in test automation.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Debug test failures, log defects, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure high quality of releases across multiple browsers, devices, and environments.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers and contribute to overall process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in QA/testing, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience using Playwright.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for test scripting.
• Strong knowledge of web application testing, browser automation, and modern testing frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration tools.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with other test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance or API testing (e.g., using JMeter, Postman, REST-assured).
• Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• ISTQB or similar QA certification.
