Job Description:
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong experience in DBT, Azure cloud services, and hands-on expertise with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation. This role will support our data and analytics teams by building scalable deployment pipelines, managing Azure infrastructure, and ensuring smooth DBT development and release workflows – Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for DBT projects and related data workflows.
Manage DBT development, testing, and deployment in DBT Cloud or DBT Core, running on Azure environments. (Strong Expertise)
Build and maintain Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or Azure Bicep).
Integrate DBT workflows with Azure services (ADF, Synapse, Databricks, ADLS, etc.).
Automate environment provisioning, testing, and deployments across dev, test, and production.
Monitor and optimize pipeline performance across:- Azure Data Factory (ADF) – Azure Synapse Pipelines – Azure Databricks Jobs – Implement secure secrets management using Azure Key Vault and GitHub Actions secrets.
Troubleshoot DBT run failures, CI/CD pipeline issues, and Azure infrastructure errors.
Ensure Azure best practices for security, compliance, monitoring, cost optimization, and reliability.
Establish observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and pipeline monitoring tools.
3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, DataOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.
Strong, hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation. – Solid DBT (core or cloud) experience — models, tests, macros, versioning, deployments.
Expertise with Azure cloud technologies, including:- Azure Data Factory – Azure Synapse Analytics / Azure Databricks – Azure Storage (ADLS Gen2)
Azure SQL / SQL MI (nice to have) – Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash. – Experience with Terraform or Azure Bicep for IaC. – Knowledge of Git branching strategies, pull requests, and workflow automation.
