Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AS400/iSeries Administrator to manage, monitor, and maintain our IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system operations, user management, backups, patching, and system performance tuning. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high system availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Administer, configure, and support IBM iSeries (AS400) environments.
2.Monitor system performance and perform system tuning as necessary.
3.Manage user profiles, roles, security settings, and permissions.
Schedule and monitor system jobs, backups, and batch jobs using job scheduler tools.
4.Perform system upgrades, PTF installations, and patch management.
5.Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues.
6.Collaborate with application developers and business units for system integration and optimization.
7.Maintain documentation of system configuration, processes, and procedures.
8.Ensure system integrity, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies are in place.
9.Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
1.5+ years of experience as an AS400/iSeries Administrator.
Strong knowledge of IBM iSeries (OS/400), CL programming, and iSeries Navigator.
2.Experience with BRMS (Backup, Recovery and Media Services) and HA (High Availability) tools.
3.Proficient in troubleshooting iSeries-related issues and job performance.
4.Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, FTP, SMTP, SFTP, and Telnet on iSeries.
5.Familiarity with security and compliance standards.
6.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
