JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled Java Big Data Engineer with strong experience in Spark and modern big data technologies. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable big data solutions while contributing to platform development and mentoring team members. The role requires strong Java development skills combined with big data ecosystem experience and the ability to independently deliver software solutions from inception to production.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Strong experience in Apache Spark with at least 3+ years of hands-on development
• Strong programming experience in Java
• Experience developing applications using Spring Boot
• Experience working with Big Data technologies and Hadoop ecosystem
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or other NoSQL platforms
• Experience designing and developing scalable data processing applications
Ability to independently make code changes, test, and deploy applications
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience delivering end-to-end software solutions from development to production
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and big data processing
• Knowledge of applied statistics including distributions, statistical testing, and regression analysis

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Experience with Cassandra database
• Experience working in big data platforms within enterprise environments
• Experience mentoring developers and contributing to platform architecture
• Exposure to innovative product development or startup environments
