Location – Coos Bay, OR / Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 2 days a week in the office)

Seeking a detail-oriented Workday Tester. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing Workday implementations, including functional testing, data migration and configuration. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to ensure the quality and accuracy of Workday solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead the testing workstream for the Workday migration project.
Expert with automation frameworks and DevOps pipelines.
Manage all phases of testing: planning, strategy, execution, and reporting.
Coordinate cross-functional teams for data migration testing using SQR and other tools.
Oversee and participate in hands-on testing (Functional, Automation, API, UAT).
Ensure quality test deliverables and manage defect resolution processes.
Advise stakeholders on testing best practices and drive continuous improvements.
Act as SME for testing strategy, tools, and methodologies.
Track testing progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
Skills
Must have
Strong Test lead/Manager who can drive the project independently
Hands-on experience with Selenium, API testing (RestAssured, ReadyAPI), and automation frameworks. (Using Selenium and other associated coding
based automation tools, framework)
Workday + rich testing experience (in team management, test planning/strategy, experience in data migration, selenium automation, API testing types).
Test team management experience+ Automation testing experience: Functional Automation testing using Selenium, etc. API testing using RestAssured, Ready API
Experience managing end-to-end and UAT testing cycles.
Solid understanding of test lifecycle, planning, execution, and defect tracking.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Previous consulting or client-facing experience preferred
Experience in data migration testing from PeopleSoft to Workday.
Strong functional knowledge of Workday (Payroll, Core HR, Absence, Rewards, Talent, Reporting, etc.).
Proficiency in SQR and other relevant migration/testing tools, Prior CI/CD experience
Nice to have
Workday-specific certifications (Workday Pro/ Workday HCM) is an added advantage
Experience with HR systems implementation and migration projects.
Familiarity with automated testing tools and technique
