Senior AWS Data Engineer Contract
Location: Onsite – Charlotte, NC
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Years of Experience: 8+ Years
Must Have Skills:
DevOps & CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions
Cloud & AWS Stack: IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, Lake Formation, EKS, Kubernetes, AWS Glue (Catalog, ETL, Crawler), Athena, S3
Data Engineering: Apache Hudi, Apache Flink, RDS, PostgreSQL, SQL
Programming Languages: Python, Java
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform Enterprise (able to explain usage, principles, write/debug scripts)
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement data engineering solutions on AWS.
Utilize DevOps and CI/CD practices with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
Work extensively with core AWS services including IAM, API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, Lake Formation, EKS, Kubernetes, Glue, Athena, and S3.
Implement data processing using Apache Hudi and Apache Flink.
Work with RDS, PostgreSQL, and SQL databases.
Develop solutions using Python and Java.
Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform Enterprise.
Write and debug Terraform scripts.
Preferable/Desired Skills:
Prior experience in enterprise-scale data lake architecture.
Exposure to real-time data streaming platforms.
Working knowledge of data governance and cataloging in AWS ecosystem.
