Role : Senior Observability Engineer
Location : Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Contract
Lead the migration of application monitoring dashboards, alerts, and metrics from AppDynamics to Splunk Observability Cloud, leveraging Open Telemetry for seamless instrumentation and integration with the cloud-based observability suite.
Description:
• Migration of Dashboards & Alerts: Plan, execute, and enhance migration from AppDynamics to Splunk.
• Open Telemetry Instrumentation: Implement Open Telemetry-based instrumentation for applications and services.
• Experience working on Cisco observability platform
• Data Pipeline Setup: Configure data pipelines for real-time metric streaming, trace collection, and alerting.
• Dashboard Optimization: Re-engineer dashboards to ensure clear insights for LOB and event monitoring.
• Automation: Develop Python scripts to automate configuration migration tasks.
• Integration with Cloud & DevOps: Integrate observability solutions into cloud environments (AWS) and DevOps workflows (CI/CD).
• Testing & Validation: Validate the new monitoring setup against the previous one to ensure data fidelity.
• 5+ years in AppDynamics and Splunk Observability Cloud (SignalFx).
• Strong proficiency with OpenTelemetry and Python for automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps (CI/CD) integration
