Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support and guide four Agile teams, ensuring effective delivery practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving alignment across the organization. This role will also function as an Agile Coach, enabling teams to mature in their Agile mindset while ensuring high-quality delivery through disciplined Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile practices.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels at communication, transparent collaboration, and cross-team coordination, with deep experience in Jira administration and Agile project management.
Key Responsibilities
Scrum Master Responsibilities
Facilitate all Agile ceremonies for up to four teams, including:
Sprint Planning
Daily Standups
Sprint Reviews
Retrospectives
Remove impediments and escalate risks/issues to ensure continuous team momentum.
Guide teams on Agile best practices, improving velocity, forecasting, and team health.
Work closely with Product Owners to maintain well-groomed, prioritized backlogs.
Track team performance metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) and create actionable insights.
Agile Coaching
Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile values, principles, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe preferred).
Promote adoption of Agile and Lean thinking across the organization.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate workshops/training sessions.
Support teams transitioning from traditional project management to Agile delivery models.
JIRA & Project Management
Own and maintain Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, and reports for multiple teams.
Ensure data hygiene and provide visibility across projects using custom dashboards and reporting.
Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and alignment for multi-team initiatives.
Partner with leadership to ensure roadmap delivery, milestone management, and progress transparency.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Leadership.
Communicate progress, risks, and performance summaries to executives and PMO.
Align teams to strategic goals and ensure delivery commitments are met.
Required Qualifications
12+ years as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar Agile leadership role.
Experience supporting a minimum of 3+ teams simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and scaled Agile frameworks.
Advanced proficiency in Jira and Confluence (configuration, reporting, workflow design).
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Strong project management and delivery tracking capabilities.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: CSM, PSM II/III, SAFe SSM/SPC, PMI-ACP, or equivalent.
Experience in scaled environments (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus).
Background working with software development or technical engineering teams.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Agile delivery pipelines.
