IT Business Analyst

📌 Roles and Responsibilities

📌 Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to gather and define technical requirements
📌 Analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose technology-based solutions
📌 Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications
📌 Collaborate with developers, project managers, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle
📌 Conduct gap analyses, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for proposed solutions
📌 Support testing efforts by creating test cases and validating solutions against requirements
📌 Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with cross-functional teams
📌 Monitor solution performance and recommend enhancements based on user feedback and data analysis
📌 Assist in the creation of user documentation, training materials, and user acceptance testing
📌 Ensure proposed solutions align with IT strategy, security standards, and business objectives

📌 Certifications and Qualifications Required

📌 Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
📌 Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) (preferred)
📌 Agile certification such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is a plus
📌 3+ years of experience in business analysis within an IT environment
📌 Strong understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
📌 Proficient in requirements gathering, process modeling, and workflow design
📌 Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and documentation skills
📌 Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels
📌 Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Jira, Confluence, Balsamiq)
