Key Responsibilities:
π VoIP System Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and implement VoIP systems, ensuring seamless voice communication for businesses.
π§ System Configuration & Troubleshooting: Install, configure, and maintain VoIP hardware (e.g., IP phones, gateways) and software (e.g., Asterisk, Cisco CallManager, 3CX), resolving issues promptly.
π Network Optimization & Security: Ensure that the VoIP network is secure, efficient, and optimized for voice traffic, implementing firewalls, QoS policies, and encryption protocols.
π‘ Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Continuously monitor the performance of the VoIP systems, troubleshoot call quality issues, and optimize network resources to ensure high availability and quality.
π οΈ Integration with Other Systems: Integrate VoIP solutions with existing business applications like CRM, helpdesk, and conferencing tools to streamline communication and improve collaboration.
βοΈ Documentation & Support: Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, network designs, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide training and technical support to users and IT staff.
π‘ Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest VoIP technologies, protocols (SIP, H.323), and industry trends to ensure that solutions are cutting-edge and future-proof.
Requirements:
π Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Proven experience as a VoIP Engineer or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting VoIP systems.
β
Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, H.323) and communication platforms (e.g., Asterisk, Cisco, Avaya).
β
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP) and Quality of Service (QoS) for voice traffic.
β
Experience with VoIP security practices, including encryption, firewalls, and securing communications.
β
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to resolve issues effectively.
Nice to Have:
β¨ Certifications in VoIP technologies (e.g., Cisco CCNA Voice, Avaya Certified, Asterisk Certified).
β¨ Experience with cloud-based VoIP solutions (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Phone).
β¨ Knowledge of unified communications systems and integration with collaboration tools like video conferencing and instant messaging.
β¨ Experience in network design and implementing high-availability solutions for VoIP systems.
