Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Developer with Vertex experience to implement and configure Oracle Financial and Vertex tax solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of tax solutions for different legal entities, including the US, Canada, UK, and other regions. This is an onsite role located in either San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
Implementation Planning:

Work closely with business teams to understand financial and tax requirements.
Develop tailored implementation plans to meet specific needs.

Configuration and Customization:

Configure Oracle Finance modules and Vertex tax software for various legal entities.
Customize tax rules, rates, and exemptions as required.

Integration:

Integrate Vertex tax solutions with existing ERP or financial systems for Sales Tax and Use Tax.
Ensure seamless data flow and accurate tax calculations.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough testing of Oracle Cloud financial modules and Vertex tax implementations.
Resolve any discrepancies and ensure system accuracy.

Training and Support:

Provide training and ongoing support to business users and stakeholders.
Address any queries related to Oracle Cloud and Vertex tax software.

Documentation:

Create and maintain documentation for Oracle financials and Vertex tax implementations.
Include configuration guides, user manuals, and troubleshooting procedures.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for Oracle Cloud and Vertex tax solutions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Vertex certification (e.g., Vertex Certified Professional).
Oracle ERP certification in financial modules (AP, AR, GL, FA).
3+ years of experience in tax technology implementation, specifically with Vertex tax solutions for Sales and Use Tax across multiple regions (US, Canada, Italy, Turkey, UK).
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, particularly for sales and use tax.
5+ years of experience in Oracle ERP Cloud financial modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Projects).
Proven experience in Certificate Exemption process in Vertex.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
