Job Title: IT Tester
Location: Baton Rouge, LA (Remote)
Type: 6+ months Contract

Three (3) years of experience in performing quality assurance testing of application software using varied testing methodologies.
Three (3) years of experience in developing, writing, and executing test cases, scenarios, and/or scripts.
Three (3) years of experience in identifying, developing, and validating appropriate test data and test cases that ensure expected software functionality and features are working within established benchmarks and customer expectations
Experience working with DPS (Department of Public Safety) projects

The scope of the proposed services will include the following:

Perform quality assurance testing of application software using varied testing methodologies.
Review requirements and/or user stories to develop and execute test cases, scenarios and/or scripts
Document and report test outcomes, including logging bugs or defects
Identify, develop, and validate appropriate test data and test cases that ensure expected software functionality and features are working within established benchmarks and customer expectations
Test all aspects of application components for compliance with the provided specifications and user stories. Ex: usability, functionality, exploratory, system, smoke, monkey, and compatibility testing
Coordinate test activities, including technical and security testing, with other team members and OTS sections
Participate in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:

Three (3) years of experience in performing quality assurance testing of application software using varied testing methodologies.
Three (3) years of experience in developing, writing, and executing test cases, scenarios, and/or scripts.
Three (3) years of experience in identifying, developing, and validating appropriate test data and test cases that ensure expected software functionality and features are working within established benchmarks and customer expectations
Experience working with DPS projects

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:

Certifications in the field of Software QA such as certifications from ISTQB.
Experience documenting requirements and/or user stories.
Experience creating operating procedures, user guides, and/or training material
Experience working as a member of a Scrum Team. Familiarity with Jira, Jama and Zephyr.
