The working position is Hybrid – On Site and Telework.
This position is a hybrid position and will require one (1) day, in office per week (Monday).
Two (2) part interview process (Phone screening, followed by in-person)
The program will allow local to Texas candidates only
Preferred who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN(50 miles radius) AREA 
Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.
Total EXP:12+ years must

Required Skills:
Experience with utility engineering datasets (substation, transmission, distribution)
Exposure to NERC, ERCOT, FERC, and Texas PUC regulatory environments
2+ years Python for automation and backend data access
2+ years Power Automate (flows, process automation)
8+ years as a Data Analyst, Reports Developer, or Business Systems Analyst
Advanced MS Excel (PivotTables, formulas; VBA/macros preferred)
Strong experience with Power BI (dashboard creation, data modeling, visuals)

Job Description:
We are seeking a System Analyst III to support data analytics, reporting, automation, process documentation, and engineering operations. The role requires someone who can work independently to deliver reporting solutions, automate workflows, enhance SharePoint capabilities, and collaborate with engineers to manage technical datasets.
The ideal candidate can translate engineering concepts into structured reports and dashboards, manipulate and automate data workflows, and build lightweight application components (SharePoint, Power Automate, Python) to support internal processes.

Key Responsibilities
Enhance engineering operations through data analytics, report development, automation, and documentation.
Build, update, and maintain dashboards and performance visuals using Power BI.
Develop and maintain the System Protection Engineering SharePoint site, including forms, workflows, and documentation repositories.
Build Power Automate flows to support engineering processes.
Perform Python-based data cleanup, automation, and backend data access.
Assist with internal project coordination and engineering operations support.
Create process documentation, SOPs, and workflow diagrams.
Ensure compliance with Austin Energy Records Management and Data Governance policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

8+ years as a Data Analyst, Reports Developer, or Business Systems Analyst
Advanced MS Excel (PivotTables, formulas; VBA/macros preferred)
Strong experience with Power BI (dashboard creation, data modeling, visuals)
Experience maintaining and enhancing SharePoint sites (lists, libraries, forms, workflows)
Strong experience documenting workflows and processes (SOPs, diagrams)
Ability to translate engineering data into structured reports and visuals
Experience in data cleanup, manipulation, and reporting automation
Experience working independently on analytics, reporting, and automation tasks
