Location: Washington, DC

Note: Candidate needs to travel once a quater to DC. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

 
Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated Tableau dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate key business metrics and trends.
Data Transformation: Work with various data sources, preparing and transforming data for use in Tableau while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Consulting: Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their business needs, ask insightful questions, and translate requirements into technical solutions.

Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Optimization: Continuously optimize existing Tableau dashboards for performance and usability, ensuring they meet evolving business requirements.

 

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Tableau solutions, ensuring that others can understand and maintain the work.
Collaboration: Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of Tableau dashboards into broader data ecosystems.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, helping them to leverage Tableau for their reporting and analytical needs.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of Tableau dashboards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data presented.
 
Qualifications:
 
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in Tableau development, with at least 2 years in a consulting role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep. Strong SQL skills and experience with data transformation tools.
Analytical Skills: Ability to perform complex data analysis and translate findings into actionable insights.

 

Consulting Experience: Proven ability to interact with clients, ask the right questions, and understand business problems.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively about data challenges.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
