Role Overview
The Windows Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows-based systems and infrastructure. This role involves ensuring system security, optimizing performance, and providing technical support to end users and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and workstations.
Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policies, and user account administration.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches or updates.
Ensure system security through antivirus, firewalls, and vulnerability management.
Manage backups, disaster recovery, and system restoration procedures.
Configure and maintain network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
Implement and support virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Support cloud-based Windows environments (Azure, AWS) when applicable.
Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Provide technical support and assist with IT infrastructure projects
