Title: .Net Developer Location: Long Island City, NY, United States Long Term (24+ months) The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet business needs. Job Duties: - Participate in the design, development, and implementation of .NET applications under the guidance of senior developers.
- Learn and apply .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and other relevant frameworks.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing and deployment.
- Collaborate effectively with other developers, testers, and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and debug code to ensure application quality and stability.
- Stay updated on the latest .NET technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining web applications using C# and the .NET Framework (version 4.8 or newer).
- Experience designing and implementing MVC5+ architecture for scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Strong skills in building and consuming Web Services and Web APIs.
- Solid understanding of ADO.NET for data access and manipulation.
- Expertise in designing and developing web pages using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Expertise in writing optimized SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures, and managing databases with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or newer.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives within specified timelines.
- Experience working with City of New York agencies is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Willingness to train in additional Microsoft technologies as needed.
