Description:
- This is a contract to hire role for Product Owner within the Real-Time Payments Platform team working on Instant Payments.
- They want the person on-site in Pittsburgh or Lake Mary. It will end up as a VP-Level
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Product Owner to lead the development and optimization of our Instant Payment Processing platform. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between business stakeholders, customers, and the technology team, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative, secure, and scalable payment solutions. Your expertise will drive the evolution of a product that processes real-time payments with high availability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision:
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for instant payment processing in alignment with the company’s broader objectives.
- Work closely with Product Manager to write and groom user stories
- Manage the efforts of a software development pod including: Scrum Master and up to 10 Developers
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a product owner or product management role, preferably in financial services or payment systems.
- Proven track record of managing software products in the real-time payments or financial transaction processing domain.
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of instant payment systems (e.g., RTP, SEPA Instant, FedNow, SWIFT GPI) and financial messaging standards (ISO 20022).
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Experience working with APIs, microservices architecture, and payment gateways.
- Basic understanding of security protocols and compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, AML, and KYC.
Analytical & Communication Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with experience turning complex technical challenges into actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Skilled in gathering and defining business requirements and translating them into a prioritized product backlog.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, QA testers, and operations.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment across multiple teams and departments.
- Strong decision-making skills, with a customer-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
- Experience with real-time processing platforms and high-availability systems.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in the financial services space, such as blockchain, AI-driven fraud detection, and cloud-native architecture.

- This is another Product Owner in either Pittsburgh or Lake Mary that will be managing a Pod that includes a Scrum Master and up to 10 developers, working on BNY's wire transfer product.
- This is a 6 month CTH role, and they are looking for someone at the VP -Level
Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Software Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of our Wire Transfer Processing platform.
- This role is critical in shaping our wire transfer services to meet the evolving needs of institutional and retail customers.
- You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to deliver secure, compliant, and efficient wire transfer solutions that support high-value, time-sensitive payments.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision:

Execution & Delivery:
- Serve as the Product Owner in Agile development processes, owning the backlog and prioritizing features.
- Ensure timely delivery of enhancements and fixes, collaborating with engineering, QA, and operations teams.
Performance Monitoring & Improvement:
- Monitor system performance metrics and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement enhancements to streamline processing times, improve reliability, and reduce operational risks.
Job Requirements
