Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in test automation, quality assurance, and developing scalable test frameworks for AEM-based applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of AEM components, integrations, and APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for AEM applications using Java and Selenium.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing for AEM-based web applications.
- Develop and execute test cases for AEM components, templates, workflows, and services.
- Automate content validation, authoring, and publishing workflows in AEM.
- Work closely with AEM developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Develop and maintain API test scripts using RestAssured, Postman, or Karate for AEM back-end services.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar).
- Identify performance bottlenecks and conduct load testing using tools like JMeter.
- Implement mocking and service virtualization for external integrations in AEM.
- Stay updated with the latest AEM advancements and automation best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in test automation, software testing, and quality assurance.
- Strong proficiency in Java (OOPs concepts, Collections, Streams, and Exception Handling).
- Experience in AEM automation testing, including AEM Authoring, Publishing, and Dispatcher Testing.
- Hands-on experience with UI automation testing using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Strong knowledge of AEM architecture, Sling, JCR (Java Content Repository), OSGi, and CRXDE Lite.
- Experience in API automation testing using RestAssured, Postman, or SoapUI.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Git version control.
- Experience in writing and executing SQL queries for database validation.
- Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or Gatling.
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in contract testing using Pact.
- Hands-on experience in AEM migration and upgrade testing.
- Experience in Headless CMS Testing with AEM as a content service.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Adobe AEM certification (Adobe Certified Expert – AEM DevOps Engineer, AEM Sites Developer) is a plus.
