Job Description:
The Business Analyst II performs advanced business analysis in the planning and implementation of a metadata library project. This role involves working closely with the Office of Data Governance (ODG), Information Technology (IT) teams, and various agency programs to develop and implement standardized documentation of business and technical metadata in data governance tools. Additional responsibilities include supporting other data governance priorities as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with a variety of stakeholders, including public health program staff. Key duties include planning, monitoring, and reporting on program engagement and progress toward achieving a fully documented metadata library. Attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple program areas, and a proactive work ethic are essential in this fast-paced environment. Prior experience in documenting business and technical metadata and working with public health data is preferred.
