Key Responsibilities:

This role involves leading the design, development, and maintenance of Anaplan models to support business planning and decision-making processes as well as design, development, and implementation of complex data systems and solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of scalability, reliability, and security.

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of data architectures and systems.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineering team members.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvements in data processing and storage capabilities.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data engineering.
• Optimize data platform performance and provide expertise on choosing the right tools and technologies.
• Lead the strategy and architecture of the retail data platform, ensuring high-quality delivery of complex engineering solutions.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex Anaplan models.
• Optimize Anaplan model performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Integrate Anaplan with other business systems and data sources.
• Develop and enforce best practices for Anaplan model building and data management.
• Conduct regular model reviews and implement improvements based on feedback.
• Stay updated with the latest Anaplan features and functionalities to leverage them effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Anaplan models and integrations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proven leadership experience in managing data engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
• Experience with Anaplan for business planning and performance management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Retail domain knowledge and experience working with retail data systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
• Familiarity with machine learning and data analytics tools.
• Ability to work in an agile development environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, or Azure, preferably AWS.
