is seeking a hybrid Principal Technical Product Manager (RAR and Finance) for a 12+ month contract job with a client in client based in San Diego, CA. The Principal Technical Product Manager (RAR and Finance) owns the Product Vision and Technology Roadmap for the RAR and Finance strategic initiatives across the Medication Management Solutions Portfolio. They also partner with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to document and harmonize requirements across platforms, identify project dependencies, and drive critical business decision making. The Principal Technical Product Manager (RAR and Finance) will also provide end-to-end program leadership and oversight through the entire project life- cycle: discovery, requirements gathering, prioritization, development, testing, change management, training, launch and post-live support.

 

Principal Technical Product Manager (RAR and Finance) job responsibilities include:

  • Primary point of contact for all system enhancements and changes within the Revenue Rec and Finance function across MMS. 
  • Advocate for business process re-engineering when necessary to build standard, harmonized backend systems and solutions. 
  •  Document, review, and demo current state technology, personas, and business processes to gather all impacted areas and requirements.
  • Communicate technology portfolio roadmap, including projects & project milestone achievements to leadership in a clear, concise manner.
  • Responsible for all IT business cases for Revenue Recognition and Finance team including prioritization on scope, success metrics, proposed benefits, and specific detailed requirements (Business Requirements Document)
  • Identify risks, escalation points or barriers and recommend approaches for issue mitigation to keep MMS Quality portfolio on time and on budget.
  • Strategic Advice – Offer expert advice on compliance-related matters across MMS.  Help the organization make informed, cross-platform decisions that align with regulatory requirements and business goals

 

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Point of Contact for the Rev Rec and Finance functional area of MMS across all product platforms. Understand stakeholder requirements, pain points, and business roadmap.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Establish strong relationships with key Quality & Compliance stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including SMEs, Managers, Directors, and VPs to align on priorities and provide effective updates.
  • Partner across MMS, and IT to deliver solutions combining People, Process, and Technology
  • Keep abreast of key industry trends, research and recommend best practices, KPIs and benchmarks. Consult with leadership on how new Business System Technology can be a Strategic Enabler that facilitates strategic progress for their departments.
  • Support creation of annual and long-term strategic roadmap planning
  • Socialize the roadmap at all levels of the organization. Craft and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and documentation to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value proposition
  • Collaborate and influence with upstream/downstream systems and teams to represent service quality requirements
  • Leads Alignment Meetings and provides executive level updates

 

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision aligned with the company's overall strategic goals, incorporating user feedback, market trends, and technological advancements.
  • Outlines feature business justification & value proposition
  • Leads project discovery: high-level requirements gathering, solution analysis, recommendations
  • Facilitates Feature Alignment Refinement sessions with technical architects to document future state vision.
  • Performs High level process mapping and personas to understand technology requirements
  • Documents High level epic/feature level requirements
  • Owns product vision for Quality & Compliance. Prioritizes backlog and understands dependencies
  • Consult with the business transformation automation and technology enablement program management and architecture teams on business requirements for proposed technology solutions.

 

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • Promote culture of empowerment, emotional safety, constructive challenge, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Ensuring solution designed meets user requirements without overdesign and wasted effort
  • Cross-functional liaison with other departments to understand the impact of their technology changes
  • Liaison between stakeholder and agile and/or waterfall teams for story and backlog details
  • Partner with business process leads to track, monitor, and report on key Technology Business System metrics, such as cycle time, employee efficiency, channel optimization enabled by technology, customer satisfaction with community portal, and adoption rate for communities
  • Partner with Reporting and Analytics team to proactively identify and deliver key Technology Business System reporting
  • Awareness, Training & Communication – Enhance overall compliance awareness and reduce the likelihood of non-compliance.  Voice priority of quality compliance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Quality & Compliance or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in Leasing , Rev rec and Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years program management experience
  • Minimum of 7 years project management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years supporting S/4 HANA BRIM and RAR
  • Experience creating product roadmaps from ideation to launch, defining product vision and go-to-market strategy
  • Experience with the agile methodology, including familiarity with scrum ceremonies and agile best practices
  • Experience participating in user research activities, performing product discovery, and building a vision for short-term and long-term product strategy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Medical device experience is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint
  • Ability to pivot and adapt to support changing finance business priorities.
  • Develop in depth knowledge of Rev Rec and Finance requirements for dispensing and infusion medical devices
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to provide a high-level demo of new and existing technology
  • Ability to have high level technical discussion of the functionality
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects
  • Ability to look at all options to remove roadblocks
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of stakeholders including senior management
  • Ability to organize people cross functionally towards a common goal
  • Competent and professional communication abilities, verbal and written, on the phone and in person
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships between IT and business areas, and ensure timely support of day-to-day business processing needs
  • Ability to work virtually and in the office with project teams, stakeholders, and SME’s

Desired Qualifications:

  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP®, PMI-ACP) preferred
  • Second-level Agile Certification (e.g., A-CSPO, CSP-PO) preferred
  • Experience using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, VersionOne, Rally)
  • Salesforce experience/certification preferred
  • Greenbelt/Back Belt preferred
