Important Skills:

May have used Containers or deployed to container-based environment.
Experience with production grade Kubernetes based microsservices development.
We need someone who has significant hands-on experience with building and deploying services on Kubernetes.
This position is more comparable to a staff engineer role that demands technical leadership and comprehensive stack knowledge (not necessarily complete expertise).

Summary
Duties and Responsibilities:
·  Develop, improve, and maintain cloud-ready distributed Microservices using Java Spring components including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, and Spring Data.
·  Develop and improve observability of 1,000’s microservices running in multiple data centers using tooling that includes: DynaTrace, Nagios, Prometheus and Elastic Stack.
·  Develop, configure, enhance, and support GitOps based CI/CD pipeline that incorporates Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, Tekton, Artifactory, SonarQube, Argo CD.
·  Object Oriented software analysis and design by applying industry best practices, patterns, and techniques.
·  Designing, developing, maintaining complex shared Enterprise Java services – security, logging, REST, common APIs and enforcing coding standards.
·  Conduct design and code reviews to ensure design principles are followed by developers implementing shared architecture components.
·  Proven ability to analyze performance issues using java profiling tools Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentation experience.
·  Work with software development, quality assurance, and release management to support and develop improvements to our existing CI/CD pipeline.
·  Work closely with Architects to introduce new technology and develop proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technology in our existing architecture.
·  Acts as a mentor for other developers on software development design and development challenges.
·  Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.  

Experience:
·  5+ years Java development experience.
·  3+ years of experience developing scalable and resilient Microservices using Java Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring LDAP, Spring REST) deployed in containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes for enhanced portability and operational efficiency.
·  Experience developing with Spring Data: JPA, JDBC, Cassandra, SOLR, SAI.
·  5+ years developing with SQL.
·  2+ years developing with Cassandra Query Language (CQL).
·  Experience of Microservices Architecture style and Domain Driven Design required or preferred.
·  3+ years of experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines built on GitOps principles using Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, Tekton, Argo CD, Artifactory, SonarQube or similar technology.
