Role – Sr. Java Developer
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3 days in office at client location)
Contract – 6 months
Job Duties:
Key Skills: Core Java/J2EE, Spring, SQL and DBMS, Maven, Apache KAFKA or Google Pub Sub, Jenkins
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or above degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills.
- 10+ years Java development experience – Java/J2EE, Spring
- Experience with SQL and DBMS in an enterprise environment
- 5+ years of experience using build tools such as Maven.
- Experience with test-driven development
- Experience using Streaming Technologies such as Apache KAFKA or Google Pub Sub.
- Experience with automation and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins & Chef
Desirable Qualifications
- Cloud exp with GCP or AWS is preferred
- Experience working with financial risk management applications.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Python
- Experience with UC4 and Splunk
- Experience coding in a story-driven, agile environment
- Experience using Confluence, JIRA, or other Atlassian tools.
