Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining mainframe applications, with expertise in languages such as COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain mainframe applications: Design, code, test, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Troubleshoot and debug: Identify and resolve issues with mainframe applications, using tools such as IBM Debugger and ISPF.
Optimize performance: Analyze and optimize mainframe application performance, using techniques such as code tuning and caching.
Collaborate with teams: Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and to ensure that mainframe applications meet business needs.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience: 10+ years of experience as a Mainframe Developer, with expertise in languages such as COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
Mainframe technologies: Strong knowledge of mainframe technologies, including z/OS, CICS, and VSAM.
Database management: Experience with database management systems such as DB2 and IMS.
Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Agile methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Knowledge of DevOps tools: Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
Experience with cloud migration: Experience with migrating mainframe applications to cloud-based platforms.
