HIRING || GenAI Architect with Java || San Leandro, CA (Onsite)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on GenAI Architect with a strong foundation in Java and experience in implementing Generative AI solutions. This role focuses on the integration and deployment of AI-driven virtual assistants, leveraging LLMs and the latest advancements in the GenAI space. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who can both architect and implement solutions, work cross-functionally, and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement GenAI use cases, with a strong emphasis on Virtual Assistant solutions.

• Lead hands-on development and integration using Java, Python, and Apache Flink (DAG).

• Work directly with Large Language Models (LLMs), with specific experience in Google Gemini being highly desirable.

• Design and implement solutions utilizing:

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Function Calling / Tools

• LangChain

• Vector Databases

• Provide technical leadership and guidance across cross-functional teams with a consulting mindset.

• Ensure alignment with non-functional requirements such as:

• Data security

• Prompt injection prevention

• Safety filtering

• Grounding and factual accuracy

• Stay abreast of emerging GenAI trends and technologies to inform solution design and innovation.

• Clearly articulate technical contributions and the impact of solutions delivered.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8+ years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency in Java and Python.

• Prior hands-on experience in building and deploying GenAI use cases, particularly virtual assistants.

• Solid understanding of LLM-based architecture, including prompt engineering, retrieval mechanisms, and tool integrations.

• Familiarity with modern GenAI frameworks and tools such as LangChain, Vector Stores (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone), and Gemini.

• Strong experience in streaming and DAG-based data processing using Apache Flink or similar frameworks.

• Proven ability to work onsite and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a client-facing or consulting environment.

• Understanding of responsible AI practices and safety/compliance considerations in GenAI systems.

• Prior experience with fast prototyping and scalable production deployment of GenAI applications.

Work Environment:

This is an onsite role based in San Leandro, CA. Candidates must be available to work from the office to support collaboration, integration efforts, and coordination with local stakeholders.
