Location: Atlanta, GA / Frisco, TX / Overland Park, KS

Job Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies and a solid understanding of monitoring, orchestration, and database services within AWS environments.

Mandatory skills: EKS, Helm, Otel or Open Telemetry, Elastic Cache, and RDS

Telecommunication Industry experience is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS
• Package and manage Kubernetes applications using Helm
• Implement and maintain observability and tracing using Open Telemetry (Otel)
• Configure and support in-memory data caching with Elastic Cache (Redis or Memcached)
• Manage relational databases on AWS using Amazon RDS
• Collaborate with development teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Ensure system scalability, availability, and security through effective monitoring and configuration
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response

Must Have Skills:

·         Experience with Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)

·         Proficiency in Helm for Kubernetes application packaging

·         Working knowledge of Open Telemetry (Otel) for distributed tracing and metrics

·         Experience with Elastic Cache (Redis or Memcached)

·         Strong understanding and experience managing Amazon RDS

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools

·         Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)

·         Understanding of networking, security, and IAM within AWS

·         Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize cloud resource usage
