The working position is Hybrid – On Site and Telework.
 2 days remote with 3 days (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays) required to be onsite

The program will allow local to Texas candidates only
Preferred who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN(50 miles radius) AREA
Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.

Required Skills:
Deep hands-on experience in Java / Java EE including EJB, JPA, SOAP services, and legacy code analysis
Strong proficiency in Java SE 1.8 and Java EE 8, with deployment on enterprise application servers
Experience integrating persistence layers with business logic (ORM)
Ability to work closely with architects, BAs, and security engineers
Solid understanding or experience with AI code analysis tools
Experience with DevSecOps, automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring
Exposure to cloud-native transformation, containers, scaling, and API-driven systems

Job Description:
The developer will analyze business objectives and problems, identify alternative technical solutions, and assist in designing cost-effective improvements. The role involves reviewing user requirements, understanding current operational procedures, and documenting clear functional and technical needs.

You will assess legacy Java EE components (EJB, JPA, SOAP), support modernization planning, collaborate with architects and business analysts, and help migrate applications to cloud-native, microservices-based platforms. The role also includes using AI code-analysis tools to review and document business rules, system behavior, technical debt, and integration points.

Required Skills & Experience
 

12+ years deep hands-on experience in Java / Java EE including EJB, JPA, SOAP services, and legacy code analysis
Strong proficiency in Java SE 1.8 and Java EE 8, with deployment on enterprise application servers
Experience integrating persistence layers with business logic (ORM)
Ability to work closely with architects, BAs, and security engineers
Solid understanding or experience with AI code analysis tools
Experience with DevSecOps, automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring
Exposure to cloud-native transformation, containers, scaling, and API-driven systems
Familiar with Agile, sprint planning, backlog refinement
Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail
Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns
