Position: Devops with GitHub

Responsibilities

CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and delivery workflows using GitHub Actions and other CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure provisioning with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet.

Collaboration & Communication: Serve as the bridge between development and operations teams to streamline deployments, improve communication, and uphold system integrity.

Monitoring & Reliability: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) to ensure uptime and proactively address performance issues.

Automation & Scripting: Identify repetitive tasks and write scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate deployments, tests, and rollbacks.

Security & Compliance: Embed security best practices into CI/CD workflows (e.g., dependency scanning, secrets management, IAM), supporting “shift-left” security.

Incident & Change Management: Lead incident response, triage root causes, manage change processes, and improve system resilience.

Required Skills & Tools

Version Control/GitHub: Proficiency in Git workflows and advanced use of GitHub features (branches, pull requests, GitHub Actions).

CI/CD Tools: Experience with GitHub Actions plus at least one other pipeline tool (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

IaC Tools: Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Scripting: Strong scripting capabilities (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.

Cloud Platforms: Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or similar.

Containers & Orchestration: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container ecosystems.

Operating Systems & Networking: Solid Linux/Windows background and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).

Security Best Practices: Knowledge of IAM, vulnerability scanning, dependence scanning, and secure CI/CD processes.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and team collaboration

Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
