Job Summary
We are seeking a .NET Support Lead to manage application maintenance and production support onsite in Louisville, KY. This role requires a technical lead who can balance hands-on troubleshooting with operational management. You will be responsible for resolving complex escalated issues, prioritizing maintenance work—including bug fixes and security updates—and monitoring team metrics to improve service levels. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in legacy .NET frameworks (VB.NET, WinForms) and modern integration technologies.
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills
Technical Support & Development
- Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for complex production issues and customer escalations.
- Maintenance: Prioritize and execute maintenance tasks, including performance improvements and security patches.
- Integration: Extensive hands-on experience with MQ (Message Queue) and Windows Services.
- API Development: Proven experience building and maintaining WebAPI solutions.
- Database & Reporting: High proficiency in SQL Server and Active Reports.
Operational Leadership
- Metrics & Performance: Track team performance, analyze support metrics, and implement solutions to boost operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in support services and create training materials to enhance the frontline staff's capabilities.
- Queue Management: Manage work queues and ensure all support activities comply with company policies and audit requirements.
- Coordination: Liaise with cross-functional departments to ensure a smooth flow of information for strategic objectives.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- .NET Windows Forms (including VB.NET)
- SQL Server
- MQ (Message Queue)
- Windows Services & WebAPI
Nice to Have
- Cloud: Experience with Azure Cloud Services or cloud-native development.
- DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps/Jira.
- Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments.
