Role: APIGEE /API Architect
Location : Jersey / Dallas/ Tampa (Hybrid)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Apigee Developer Architect to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade API solutions using Apigee Edge on-premises.
The role involves high-level and low-level design creation, customer engagement, proxy development, CI/CD deployment, and full lifecycle API management.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop API proxies, shared flows, and security policies using Apigee Edge on-premises.
Lead requirement gathering, PoC development, and customer interactions.
Produce HLD/LLD documents, Swagger definitions, and proxy deployment artifacts.
Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, integrate with Nexus, Postman, and Swagger.
Configure and secure TLS, virtual hosts, certificates, and DNS entries.
Work with internal and external environments (DMZ), firewalls, and load balancers.
Collaborate with testing and QA teams for performance, functional and security testing.
Conduct root cause analysis and production bug fixes. Coordinate with infrastructure and operations teams for secure and scalable deployment.
Required Skills:
8+ years of experience with enterprise API platforms and Apigee Edge on-premises.
Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with Swagger, Postman, Jenkins, Nexus, FOSS, TLS, CI/CD.
Knowledge of developer portal integration, OAuth2, and token-based authentication.
Excellent communication skills and experience in client-facing roles.
Preferred:
Experience with Apigee edge on-premises ,Apigee Hybrid or Apigee X (optional).
Knowledge of logging tools like Kibana/ELK.
